Pumpkin Patch with old friends

Saturday, the 18th of October was an amazing day! My two BEST friends in the whole world, were all together again! Carrie actually drove up from Portland and her, Erica & I, plus ALL of our kids (and Canon) went to the Oregon Hill Pumpkin Patch! It was great! Kai & Erica met for the first time, and all the kids- all 5 of them- got along great! Ari, Hayden, Kai, Caleb, & Nohili-cy, in age order! It was great to all be together again! It is great that all of our kids are playing together! It means a lot to all of us that we are remaining friends! These are the girls I hung with in High School. Carrie and I moved out together when I was 18!

Than, on Sunday, my girl from Bend, Stephanine stopped by the pizza shop in Rhododendron on her way to Portland! It was great to see her, although Nohili-cy was sick this weekend so he wasn't his usual vibrant self! I had a great weekend, despite the fact that Nohili-cy was not feeling hot at all!

As I said before, I am not too good at keeping up with these bloggin thangs! But I will try to catch you up, although I don't think that anyone is even looking at my blog anymore since I only post about once a year! I am now back to working full time and I actually love it! I work for Carr Auto Group in Beaverton as a Receptionist. It is decent pay with benefits and great people! Nohili is in a daycare center in St. Helens and seems to be loving it! I am staying with my BEST girlfriend from high school, Erica. She works graveyard and I watch her two kids for her (5&7) so it is beneficial for both of us to "shack up". Nohili just loves her kids and it helps him be entertained having them around. He is my social butterfly just like him momma. I am still going to school, I am actually taking a full time schedule, mostly online classes. I tried to take classes that really interested me so that I wouldn't get overwhelmed with work and school! I am taking a couple of leadership class- Human Resources & Leadership Development, along with a Solving communication problems w/ technology online. I am taking a small business management class on Wednesday night. That class helps you write a business plan. I am going to write a business plan for out little pizza shop on Mt Hood.....

A lil about that........

So Jason rented a little converted apartment in Rhododendron just before Government Camp. It is right next door to Mt. Hood Foods and behind the post office. As it turns out, the front of it use to be a pizza shop, not operational, but completely outfitted. How perfect, Jason's a chef, I a business person, you get the picture! So anyway, we are in the process of possibly re-opening it! Jason had Gannon move up from LaGrande to help get it put back together and they have been working their little hearts out moving walls and getting it cleaned up! I hope that everything works out! It will be called "The Lift Pizza & Coffee" and be snowboarded themed. We want to set it up so that it is very kid friendly, especially since we will have to live in it along with having our business there. Gannon is going to be staying the back apartment so that he can work there and live there too! Jason is going to continue to work at the Resort @ The Mountain in Welches, prep in the morning before work, and Gannon will be working the shop while Jason is at work! Plus, I will be working it during the day, ideally being able to have Nohili there with me too. That is the plans! So anyone with any idea's, let us know! We are up for suggestions!!!

Well, my friend Steph says I have already failed at this whole bloggin thang, since I haven't updated it enough, so I am updating it now! Jason will be here in Oregon June 29th!!!!! YAY!!! I can not wait to see him! I am hoping that Nohili will be as excited as I am! I have decided that I am going to keep Nohili in daycare because he still likes it so much and I don't want to loose his spot there! They are so nice, everytime that Nohili gets even a little scratch, they call me to tell me! That kid is a manic! You should have seen him last night.....we went to this free concert on the river thang that they have every Thursday, and he was just acting a fool! A photographer from the local paper even snapped a couple photo's so he might be in the paper tomorrow?!? He wanted so bad to get up on stage with the band! I only wish that I had remembered to bring my camera, because I just can not explain how cute (and naughty, by the way) he was acting! I am still working at Kuy's Restaurant, here in Saint Helens. It is nice to have adult interaction finally, although most of the people in this town are so weird! I am telling you, I stand out like a sorethumb in this town, strictly because I wear make-up! Women around here do not put themselves together! Well, gotta get back to work, I will post some more tomorrow, I promise- Steph!!! :)

Finding a job and other stuff........

Well, here I am in Portland, looking for a job! The couple of jobs (three of them) that I have are not profitable enough! The music school position is going to be trailing off starting mid-June, and I will only be needed 4 weeks TOTAL all summer! The restaurant is going okay, although, I need to work days, because picking Nohili up 5 days a week is getting too hard for my mom's back! I have reliable DAY care though, so I need to just find a day job. Hopefully I can get it figured out here soon! Jason is going to have the summer off, apparently, the restaurant is very slow, and it is benefitial to Chef to not have Jason on payroll, so he is going to be in town from June 29th to August 25th. I think that I am going to try to visit New Orleans in November and he will come around Christmas. Hopefully it will all work out, otherwise, Jason will just have to come back to Oregon! Nohili is doing great at Daycare, although he cries as soon as he see's me! I have spied on him before I come into the door and can see that he is playing and having a good time, but when he see's me, he just starts balling! Mom says he does the same thing to her too! Funny kid! I actually think that he does better with the daycare lady then he does with me! Sure do wish that it would warm up! Nohili gets so antsy when he can not go outside and play! Anyway, I will try to post more soon! Stay Positive, I am trying too!

Missing Jason

Well, I am totally a novice at this bloggin thang, but I took inspiration from my former neighbor and friend Stephanie, and here I am! I am currently staying in Saint Helens with my mom, which turns out to be an awesome thing! And Jason is 1000 miles away from us in New Orleans! Truthfully, he hates it there, but knows that he needs to stick it out for the job experience. Jesse went for a couple weeks, and now he is back in Kauai! He really hated it! Right after Jesse left, Jason was thinking that he wanted to move to Portland, he was really lonely and missed us! After a week or so of dealing with Jesse being gone, I questioned him again whether he really wanted to leave, and he decided that he was acting mostly on emotions, and has decided to stay! I have decided that I really don't want to leave the support system that I have here, especially if Jason isn't positive that he wants to be there, so we are trying out the long distance thing! Initially, we thought that we would visit each other as often as possible, but boy or boy did ticket prices jump through the roof! But we will do what is needed to make it work!
